Aveco conducts a full property inspection including roof, gutters, fencing, screens, siding and any other personal property affected by weather or general deterioration. Following our inspection, we will determine if your insurance will cover the replacement of the roof and any other trades that were damaged. We will provide a detailed inspection report along with all necessary documentation.

Since we are not listed on the insurance policy, you, as the homeowner, will need to contact the insurance company to initiate a claim. If the insurance company inquiries about the date of the storm, Aveco will provide the date of the most recent storm. We can assist with this process and be present during the call or in person, if needed. After the claim is filed, you can authorize the insurance company to communicate with Aveco on your behalf. Once this initial step is complete, the insurance company will notify you of the scheduled date for the adjuster's inspection. 

As soon as the insurance company schedules a date and time, please notify us so that we can be present to represent you. Our role is to ensure the insurance company is fair and thorough, acting as your eyes and ears if you are unable to attend. We want to ensure they do not miss any damage to the property. 

Following the adjustors meeting, the insurer will issue an estimate usually within 5-7 days. This will need to be shared with Aveco to verify everything that was agreed upon on is present on the estimate. At this time, we will go over the paperwork with you, answer any questions, and explain everything in detail. 

The insurance provider will issue a payment for the damage on the estimate made out to you or the lien holder if applicable. You will need to contact the lienholder to find out the necessary steps to endorse the check. Occasionally, the lien holder may require information from Aveco. If that’s the case, please contact us. Insurance will send the check for you to deposit. Once this is complete, we are ready to start your project! Payment will be collected on completion of the job. If any additional damage is found during the process, Aveco will take pictures and bill the insurance for an additional check. There is a depreciation amount that the insurance will withhold from the claim. However, once all of the work is complete, Aveco will send a final invoice and pictures to have insurance release the money and close the claim.

We also upgrade all components of your roof including, shingles, underlayment vents etc. We will always remove the old felt to inspect the decking for any issues. If we find any problems, we will replace the affected areas and bill the insurance company accordingly.

Upon completion of the project, we will send pictures and a final invoice to the insurance company so that the claim will be closed and final payment can be issued. Once the claim has been paid in full to Aveco, you will receive the transferable warranty paperwork.
